It is Churchill’s most significant postwar statement, introducing to the world a term--Iron Curtain--that alerted the West to the beginning of the Cold War and helped to define an era.
In addition to the entire speech by Churchill, the CD contains the complete introductory remarks by President Harry S. Truman from that historic day. To mark this special offering, a new introduction by Edwinda Sandys, renown artist and sculptor who is the granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill, has been specially prepared and places the speech and its significance in historical context.
